Now, compared to world peace, how important is it?
A year from now, will it matter?
Five years from now, will anyone remember you did it?
How about 200 years from now… will anyone even know your name?
And… most importantly… Is this something you want to do?
There’s only one person who matters most to you… you.
“If Mama not happy, ain’t NO BODY gonna be happy,” so the saying goes. That’s true of Mama… but it’s true for you, too.
If what you’re doing doesn’t absolutely make you want to leap out of bed in the morning, why are you doing it? If what you’ll accomplish today doesn’t make you smile when you think about it tonight, was it really worth doing? In a world where selflessness seemed to be sorely lacking, consider this thought:
If we all were a little more self-full, wouldn’t it give us the added energy and stamina to be more selfless?
Consider taking at least part of your day and take care of yourself.
Ultimately, at the end of the day, you’re the only one who can decide whether today was worth it… or not.
