Why Do We Compare Ourselves To Others?

Do you still compare yourself to others? I’d like to say I don’t … not ever … but I’d be lying. I don’t like to lie.

In thinking about this topic, it seems to me when most of us do our internal comparison studies they almost always surround something someone else has that we don’t. It can be a better job, a nicer car, or the man or woman of our dreams.

What it often doesn’t include is a comparison of how much more we have than someone else. Think about that for a moment. If you’re still comparing yourself to others, which process might you be more inclined to use?

There’s no foolproof method to determine the success or happiness of others, no matter how much better (or worse) the lives of other may seem to us. Instead of comparisons to others – their successes or their failures – you and I would be better off appreciating our own good qualities and doing the work necessary to improve the areas in which we feel we could change.

The end of the calendar year is a terrific time to consider what we want to take with us into 2021, and what we are willing to surrender and leave behind. I hope you’ll join me in this practice. The benefits are amazingly satisfying.

This is will be last email to you for 2020. I’m taking the last two weeks of the year to be with my family as much as possible. If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn, there are still some memes and graphics that I’ve already set up to be delivered. I hope you’ll enjoy them.

May you enjoy the end of this year, and take into the next all the love, joy, and prosperity you deserve.

Spiritual Mind Treatment for the Week of December 13, 2020

Let the words below be your words if that feels right for you.

A low self-image is usually not based on fact but on mismanaged memory.

Chris Woodward

I am one with all life. Universal intelligence chose me to express life in a unique and perfect way. I am that universal consciousness.

I appreciate all the good in my life. I take stock of all I have and all I do on a regular basis. I release that which no longer serves me. I rejoice in that which supports me. This consistent practice allows me to open up space in my life for more of what I desire.

My wants are few and my needs always satisfied. I am the offspring of eternal creation. No one and no thing can stop me from expressing life to the fullest.

I give thanks for all the support I receive from Spirit in the unseen realm and those around me in the seen world. I release these words into the abundant wisdom of all time and space for perfect manifestation in my life, here and now. And So It Is.
