Thanks, Gratitude, and Appreciation

If you’re in the U.S. you may have celebrated Thanksgiving this past Thursday. It’s been quite a year considering it was about a year ago when we first started hearing about COVID-19.

One of the best ways to change our lives is to give thanks, show gratitude, and express appreciation. We say these words as if they are synonymous. They aren’t. The energy around each them is distinct.

Thanks usually comes when we’ve received something we didn’t expect, like a gift, or help from a friend or strange.

Gratitude is an emotion we experience when a situation has resolved itself, or the change we hoped for was realized.

Appreciation, however, is an act of faith. Why? Because our thoughts create. It amounts to faith when you or I express appreciation before the manifestation of our desire occurs. Faith is the assured expectation that what we desire is already ours, even if there is currently no physical evidence.

This isn’t an experience in the future, not something we hope to have, but an embodiment of our desire. It’s an acceptance of the result perhaps long before we realize the outcome.

The act of appreciation is an indication we believe ourselves to be worthy of the desire; that we aren’t waiting for Big Daddy in the Sky to let us have what we want; and, that we acknowledge we’re co-creators of our reality.

Ponder these thoughts this week if it suits you. Perhaps a greater understanding of the word appreciation will move us even further into knowing the life we live is a result of our awareness. And so is the life we desire.

Spiritual Mind Treatment for the Week of November 29, 2020

Almost anything will work again if you unplug it for a while…including you.

Anne Lamott

Let the words below be your words if that feels right for you.

There is one universal energy. From it and as it, all seen and unseen exists. This energy creates form from thought. I am a result of that creative process. I am spirit in human expression.

I honor my human form, my body. I rejoice in my desire to be here on this planet, at this time, under these conditions, and in this physical manifestation. I appreciate the unlimited source of energy within. I respect the requirements of my human body for nourishment, companionship, joy, and rest.

I regularly unplug from the world around me. By doing so I produce exciting new ideas and plans by retreating from my daily activities.

I appreciate all the good in my life, right here and right now. I release these words into the universe for complete and perfect manifestation now. I rely on divine right timing to work out the details. And So It Is!
