Have You Had Enough Already?

Photographer: Zachery Nelson

It’s been quite a week here in the United States of America, hasn’t it? I’ve got friends in Canada, several European countries, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and China praying for us and lighting candles. There’s an Aussie gal in the Outback who said something about sacrificing a wild goat … but I’m sure she was joking … at least I think she was.

Given the news yesterday, perhaps she wasn’t kidding! Levity aside, how are you doing? If you’re outside the States I hope you know that we here are all doing the best we can. To all my readers I ask, What is it in your life right now that bothers you the most? What has your undivided attention?

A question like that may be difficult to answer. Countries throughout Europe are in or re-entering lockdown. The rates of daily COVID-19 infections and deaths continue to rise in the U.S. And, we still have our day-to-day lives to run, relationships to maintain, and homes to clean.

Oddly enough, many people find it easy to list all the things that are troublesome in their lives, but can’t find the words to articulate what it is they want. I hope you’re moving through this with as much grace and ease as possible. If you’re one of those who are not getting caught up in the drama of the day you may find people questioning how you can be so calm.

Of course, they don’t realize what we focus on increases. The universe doesn’t judge our thoughts as good or bad. It responds to our thoughts and words without discussion, particularly when we back those two up with our actions.

Consider these words carefully and if you aren’t already doing it, be willing to let go of the drama and issues you can’t do anything about. Love yourself and care for your loved ones. When you come into contact with anyone, strive to have them leave your presence feeling better than when they arrived.

We get to make it up. You knew that already, right? I thought so. You really are truly amazing!

If people talk negatively about you, live so that no one will believe them.

Somerset Maugham

Let the words below be your words if that feels right for you.

There is one life. That life expresses itself through its creations. I am the expression of that divine power.

I speak my word knowing I am the captain of my own ship. I choose the vehicle that I will use to move through life. I decide who I will have play with me in this thing called Life. I see my destination clearly and see my journey there as smooth and blessed with ease.

I make my own choices. I lovingly release others to make their own choices, knowing that whatever they decide to do is best for them. I have no room in my consciousness for any criticism from others or those who might talk behind my back. What others say about me is none of my business.

I give thanks to the power of spirit and the clarity of the truth by which I live. I release these words into universal consciousness, knowing that before I even complete my thoughts a power greater than me has already seen it as so. And So It Is.
