A Life Review – 4 Questions for Happiness

Are you getting what you want out of life? The self-righteous metaphysician might reply, with a slight smirk to indicate her superiority, “Dear, It’s not what you get out of life, but it’s what you put in that counts!”

That’s true.

It’s also as annoying as all get out to hear when you and I are going through a rough patch. And, a perfect response from someone who might not be getting what she wants out of life and too fearful to admit it.

If you’re reading this, you’re not afraid to face your challenges. You know our lives are not always pristine. Life can get very messy, especially when others are involved – which occurs on a daily basis. On one level it’s always perfect for what we need at the time, but that doesn’t mean it’s terrific. In fact, it might be quite awful or challenging.

There are many reasons why we can feel blocked in some area of our life. And, you and I often do something else that we may not have thought of which can be at the root of blockages. At the end of this blog I’ll tell you how you can obtain that information.

For now, may I suggest a “life review” for us? It’s important for you and me to take stock of our life. Do you do that on a regular basis? I do it twice a year:  once around my birthday, which just happens to be today, May 23; and, once again in the late fall.

Consider a life review of your own, once or twice a year. Here are some things to write down:

  • What am I grateful for?
  • What do I want to bring into my life?
  • What do I want to release from my life?
  • Are the goals I have ones I still want?

I keep the answers to these questions, and additional thoughts, in an ongoing, password-protected file on my computer. Each time I review my life I can look back, see what I’ve accomplished, AND what little bugaboos are still nipping at my heels!

I’m confident you can have the life you want, possibly in ways you never imagined happening, and in even grander ways that you expected. Don’t settle for anything in life. Go for the best and enjoy it!

That one reason we often feel blocked is something I’m writing more about on Monday, May 27, 2019, in the weekly message I send exclusively to my subscribers. My Monday messages include a new, unpublished spiritual mind treatment for the week, features only my subscribers get. (I have a new and very special program that I’ll be announcing in late summer, but my subscribers are hearing about it now and be able to take advantage of it in June.) Click on any of the links in this paragraph to become a subscriber. You’ll not only receive encouraging emails to help you make sense of life, but you’ll receive a free eBook, too, just for subscribing!
